2026 OSHA & HIPAA Documentation Updates Are Here
As part of our annual regulatory review process, we’re pleased to announce the release of our 2026 OSHA and HIPAA documentation updates for dental, medical, and veterinary practices nationwide.
Each year, Gamma’s training and documentation teams review federal and state regulatory updates, enforcement trends, inspection activity, and best-practice guidance to help ensure our customers remain inspection-ready and compliant.

Below is a summary of the key enhancements and improvements included in this year’s release:
Enhanced OSHA & HIPAA Policy Templates
We’ve continued to improve clarity, formatting, and implementation guidance across all documentation sets to make it easier for practices to complete, customize, and adopt the required policies.
Sharps Injury Log Reporting Guidance

Updated Aerosol Transmissible Disease Protocols (California)
For California healthcare and veterinary providers, we’ve updated the aerosol transmissible disease (ATD) procedural guidance under applicable Cal/OSHA requirements, including enhanced policies and templates related to exposure control and annual review processes for both human and animal healthcare settings.
Improved Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP)
We’ve improved the formatting and readability of the Notice of Privacy Practices, added clearer plain-language explanations, and created easy-to-use versions designed to improve patient communication and reduce administrative burden.
Reproductive Health Information (RHI) Guidance
Our HIPAA documentation has been expanded to reflect the latest federal reproductive health information guidance and related requirements. This includes updates based on the recent court ruling that has blocked the implementation of the new HIPAA RHI Privacy Rule. We have clarified what remains enforceable, what is not currently in effect due to the injunction, and how practices should approach privacy, requests, and disclosures while the rule is on hold.

Updated Enforcement and Inspection Statistics
