Question: Are handwashing sinks required at injection preparation sites?

Answer: OSHA requires that handwashing facilities be readily available to employees but also allows for an equivalent where a handwashing station may not be feasible. An equivalent could be an antiseptic hand cleanser with paper towels. Make sure that staff wash their hands immediately or as soon as possible after they remove their gloves and immediately/as soon as feasible should they contact blood or OPIM
